Privacy Policy

Crossline is a puzzle game you can play without an account, operated by Packable Studio ("we", "us"). This page explains what data the game and its partners use. See also our terms of service.
Data stored on your device
The game saves your progress (current level, hints, daily results and streak) and settings (such as vibration) in your browser's local storage, under keys starting with crossline:. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can delete it any time with Settings → Reset progress or by clearing your browser's site data.
Gameplay statistics
On crossline.byfred.io, we use Umami, a cookie-free analytics service, to understand how the game is played: page visits and game events such as starting or clearing a level, clear time, and hint use. Umami does not use cookies, does not store your IP address and does not identify you across websites. The data is only used in aggregate to improve difficulty and the tutorial.
Daily puzzle totals
When you solve the day's Daily puzzle on crossline.byfred.io, your solve time is sent without any identifier and only added to anonymous totals for that date (number of players, total time, and how many players finished in each 10-second range). The individual time is not stored. These totals show the average time and how your time compares. They are kept on Upstash via Vercel and deleted after about 400 days.
Error reports
If the game crashes or hits an unexpected error, a technical error report may be sent to Sentry so we can fix it. A report contains the error message, the code location, the page address, and your browser and operating system versions. It does not contain your name, account or game progress, and we don't use it to identify you.
Advertising
On crossline.byfred.io, the game may show ads provided by Google (AdSense for games). Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads and measure them, based on your visits to this and other websites. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), you are asked for consent through Google's consent message before personalized ads are shown, and you can change your choice later from the same message.
Learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services, and manage personalized ads at Google Ad Settings.
Ads are optional for progress: hints can always be earned without watching ads, and the game works with ad blockers.
Game portals
When you play Crossline on a game portal such as CrazyGames, that portal handles ads, accounts and cloud saves under its own privacy policy.
What we don't collect
We don't ask for your name, email or any account, and we don't sell personal data.
Children
Crossline is suitable for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. Ads are not intended to be personalized for children.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do. Questions: contact@packables.io.
